Guess My Name Game
Summary:
The Guess My Name game is a simple icebreaker that can be played almost anywhere. This team building event is especially good for smaller team. Each member writes a name of a famous person and the others try to guess who it is.
Instructions:
Have each one of the player's think of the name of a famous person and secretly write it on a post-it note. make sure it is hidden, stick the post-it on another team member's forehead. Each player takes a turn asking questions to try and figure out who the Famous person is stuck on their head. The only questions that can be asked are yes or no questions. Example: Am I a movie star? Am I alive? Am I female? ect. If a player gets a "yes" answer, he or she gets to ask another question. If they get a "no" answer, it is the next players turn. Each player can guess their name at anytime, but if they guess wrong it is the next players turn. Keep playing until all players have guessed their celebrity correctly.
Stranded on the Island
Summary:
A good team building game that helps players learn about each other's principals as well as their problem solving techniques. This icebreaker promotes team building ideas. Players are to make believe they are stranded on a desert island and have to decide what items they can take with them. This activity is good for all ages and any size group.
Instructions:
This ice breaking game can be changed to fit most any size group. Larger groups can be broken down into groups with the players on the team choosing what items the team would take with them if stranded on a desert island. The amount of items can also be selected depending on time and how many teams. Usually 5 items or less is a good number. For smaller groups each player can do the same. After the items are chosen, either the team or the individual player tells what he or she chose and why. The rest of the team can ask questions about why they chose those items and talk about the pros and cons of their selection.
The Cord Game
Summary:
This team building exercise helps players learn more about each other and brings them closer together. It is good for smaller groups of any age.

The players choose them from the host or hostess's hand not knowing the length. The players then reveal one piece of information about themselves for each wrap the string goes around one finger. Players take turns until everyone is done. This team builder is short and simple, but don't think that it will bring fewer results than other more elaborate team builders.
Ice breaking games can be extremely easy to implement yet very effective. In short amoun of time you can turn a brand new group of participants into a strong team, with a common purpose in mind.
